Born and raised in Omak, Tim began his surveying career while in high school working for a local land surveying business. He continued working as a survey helper during summer breaks while attending college.
After college graduation Tim gained valuable construction experience while working for Pacific Gas & Electric Company in California as a field engineer and Technical Foreman for the gas pipeline construction division and later as a construction superintendent for an underground pipeline construction company. However, longing to return to his roots in the land surveying profession, Tim returned to Omak in 1995 to pursue a career in land surveying. More than 20 years later and equipped with state licenses to practice land surveying and civil engineering, Tim continues to enjoy the work he was introduced to more than 35 years ago.
Additionally, Tim recently completed the rigorous requirements and examination necessary to obtain his Certified Federal Surveyor license which allows him to perform Federal Authority surveys.
Tim and his wife Melody, a National Board Certified high school mathematics teacher, have been married for more than 30 years, having raised three children. Oldest daughter Kaitlynn followed in her father’s footsteps and is a fellow civil engineer, working for the Washington State Department of Transportation. Daughter Danielle took inspiration from her mother and graduated from college with a degree in mathematics. Brian, the youngest, obtained a degree in computer engineering at Washington State University (Go Cougs).
In his spare time, Tim enjoys traveling with his family and is an avid runner having competed in two Boston marathons.
